VFT “Loralie”

IMG_1411I was so excited to be able to test this beauty! Loralie is such a unique and exquisite dress. It is perfect to show off that fabric you have been hoarding stashing for months. It has two options: a hidden center “inset” bodice with delicate top pleats or an exposed center “inset” bodice. Both maintain that vintage chic look Violette Field Threads is so popular for. Add a full double skirt and optional waist tie and the look is complete.

IMG_1412Loralie truly has a unique and vintage look. The center bodice or “inset” can be exposed or hidden. We chose to sew out the first option. The pattern is perfect to showcase your best prints. I chose fabric from my Michael Miller Wee Wander collection (Wee Wander Woods, Tree Lights, and Glow Friends) to complete our Loralie. I am quite pleased with the fabric combination I came up with and love the outcome. Warm pinks, bright blues, and sea green make this dress a welcomed piece in my daughter’s closet.

IMG_1380The lovely long bodice of the Loralie requires a skirt placket, but have no fear! The instructions will help guide you through easily and flawlessly. Put away those seam rippers ladies!
